SAN DIEGO, CA –
At the IFX Client Intranet Conference in San Diego, CA, on January 13-14, 2005, Grins 2 Go® and IFX combined their efforts and the generosity of the conference participants to raise $6201 in direct contribution and pledges.
The idea of raising money to help the areas devastated by the recent tsunami was put into action by Harish Babla, President and CEO of Grins 2 Go®. “The destruction is beyond comprehension,” said Babla. “The personal impact to the hundreds of thousands of people compelled us to find a way to help.”
“So much of our business is family and child-oriented that we simply needed to do something,” said Babla. “We wanted to deal with a reputable organization and that’s when we contacted Project Concern International. They pledged that 100% of the funds raised would be forwarded to the Tsunami relief efforts, meaning they will keep nothing for administrative or other costs.”
Babla credits the kindness of the people and organizations attending the IFX Conference for surpassing the fundraising goal saying, “Sometimes people just need an opportunity to help.”
